Shukuma Mzansi 2: Community Arts Centres Conference
At this second Community Arts Centres Conference held as part of the South Africa-EU Dialogue, Zayd Minty presented a keynote address: Community Arts Centres as a Fire Place and facilitated a dialogue session. The conference took place at the Sibikwa Arts Centre in Benoni, Ekhuruleni Municipality, Gauteng Province.

SALGA/UCLG Workshop on Culture in Sustainable Cities
Zayd Minty presents two sessions at a workshop on Culture in Sustainable Cities for the South African Local Government Association held workshop together with UCLG Agenda 21. The workshop included representatives of COGTA, NAC, DST and officials from cultural departments in Tshwane, Johannesburg, Nelson Mandela Bay At the SALGA headquarters in Tshwane, Gauteng.

Creative City South Representing in Jeju
Zayd Minty attended the UCLG Culture Summit 2017 in Jeju, South Korea from 10 - 13 May. He spoke on the panel **Local Cultural Industries and Sustainabiliy** (11 May: 11h15). He also provided training to municipal managers from the Asia region, as part of the **UNITAR/Cifal Jeju** training programme on Sustainable Cultural Tourism.
